Prostate Cancer.

Prostate cancer is a form of cancer that affects the prostate gland. It is one of the most common types of cancer in men.

This kind of cancer can usually go undetected even up to death. Some studies reveal that a man can develop prostate cancer and yet not experience any adverse effects until it worsens or some other fatal condition develops.

According to the American Cancer Society, almost all cases of prostate cancer are adenocarcinomas. These are cancers that develop from the cells that produce seminal fluid.

Like most cancers, the cause of prostate cancer is unknown. But genetic disposition and obesity can increase your risk.

If you experience these symptoms, you may have prostate cancer. Consult a medical professional at once.

  • Trouble urinating
  • Discomfort in or around the pelvis
  • Blood in the semen
  • Weak urine stream
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Urinary incontinence
  • Pain in the bones

It is usually common for prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia (prostate enlargement) to occur at the same time. Be sure to discuss these possibilities with your health specialist of choice.
